| Resource Alignment is a concept developed by OPG to enable our clients to optimize the utilization of resources in the management of facilities. It focuses on the three largest areas of your operating budgets; labor, utilities and purchased supplies and services. There are eight basic steps to a Resource Alignment initiative: 1. Development of goals 2. Research and living with the organization 3. Joint development of the program/plan 4. Development of the measurements 5. Stakeholder buy-in 6. Implementation – phased and flexible 7. Progress testing and course correction 8. Measurement and progress reporting Resource Alignment is typically a longer-term engagement where we assign a dedicated person to become a developer of operational improvements and then later potentially take the leadership role of the implementation phase. Resource Alignment leverages the extensive insourcing and outsourcing experience and management of OPG to provide an unbiased low risk solution. |
